Hey there folks. Our first rehearsal is done and with a complete sing/read-through under our belt, work on our production of The Last 5 Years is truly underway.

It was great to be able to begin to explore the music with our massively talented MD Chris on the keys and I know we’re both very excited about the show. This is a challenging show as a performer and is going to require a great deal of work to achieve the standard we’ve promised ourselves.

As well as making a start on the performance aspect of the show, we had the opportunity to look at the performance space and made some great decisions regarding set and production. The Blue Orange Theatre is a really versatile space and The Last 5 Years will certainly make use of this. Also, a meeting with our resident technical wizards has opened the door to some really interesting visual ideas. Exciting stuff!

The Last 5 Years easily ranks up there in my favourite couple of shows. The opportunity to tell this story is a gift and we hope as many people as possible can share it with us.

Tickets went on sale this week and can be purchased from the Blue Orange Theatre website (follow the link on this page). This is an intimate venue with just 60 – 70 seats available, so we’d encourage you all to get your tickets soon!
