Dean is passionate about all aspects of the performing arts and has a particular love of musical theatre. He has been singing and performing for fifteen years and has been fortunate to work with some wonderfully talented people in a variety of genres and venues. Recent theatrical roles have included Roger Davis in 'RENT!', Jamie in 'The Last 5 Years', Hunter in '[title of show]' and Emile de Becque in 'South Pacific'.

As well as his work as a performer and director, Dean is also a  qualified (Cert Ed) teacher of Drama and Theatre. As well as teaching Drama at the Royal Grammar School Worcester, he is also an experienced Speech and Drama teacher at several other prestigious schools in the area. Dean also runs workshops for local dramatic societies and youth groups and was the course leader in IF Theatre's 2010 physical theatre course, exploring the works of Steven Berkoff, which culminated in a performance of Sturm und Drang.

As a vocalist, Dean has performed in venues as varied as village churches to nightclubs in Ayia Napa, as a solo performer and with a seventeen-piece swing band. He was recently honoured to appear as a solo performer with the hugely talented Voices Unlimited Contemporary Choir at a special performance in Worcester Cathedral.
